Terms of Service
Effective: April 27, 2026
Plain English first: this is a small, founder-run software company. We're going to try not to screw you over, and we expect the same. Below is the legal version.
1. Who we are
AnimalCRM ("we", "us", "the Service") is software provided by Robert Cekay, based in Tennessee, USA. You can reach us at rob@animalcrm.com or 1-615-207-7126.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share them. If someone else uses your account, we'll assume it's you. One human per login, please.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use AnimalCRM.
3. Plans & pricing
Free plan: Free forever. Includes the review request tool, a professional website, and your contact list. No credit card required.
Pro plan: $29/month. Includes a 14-day free trial. You can cancel anytime from your account, and your card won't be charged until the trial ends. Canceling takes effect at the end of your current billing period — we don't prorate mid-month.
We may change prices. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price kicks in on your next renewal.
4. What you can't do
You agree not to use AnimalCRM to:
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or anything illegal via SMS or email.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service without our written permission.
- Impersonate someone else or a business you don't own.
- Harass, threaten, or deceive customers or other users.
- Violate any applicable law, including TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and A2P 10DLC SMS compliance rules.
If you do any of these, we'll suspend your account without refund.
5. Your content
Your customer list, estimates, invoices, reviews, and other business data belong to you — always. We don't sell your data. We don't train AI on your data. We store it so the Service works, and we'll let you export it in CSV at any time.
By using AnimalCRM, you give us permission to store and process your data for the sole purpose of providing the Service. That permission ends when you delete your account.
6. SMS & messaging compliance
AnimalCRM sends SMS and email on your behalf, not ours. You're responsible for having the legal right to contact your customers. When you import a contact or send a review request, you're confirming that you have a prior business relationship with that person and they haven't opted out of communications.
If a recipient replies "STOP" or marks your message as spam, we'll automatically stop sending them messages from your account. That's not optional.
7. Third-party services
AnimalCRM integrates with Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS and voice), Mailgun (email), Google (reviews and sign-in), and Apple (sign-in). By using AnimalCRM, you also agree to the terms of those providers where applicable. We're not responsible for outages or issues caused by third parties, but we'll do our best to work around them.
8. Downtime & reliability
We try to keep the Service up 24/7, but sometimes servers break. We don't promise a specific uptime percentage, and we're not liable for lost business caused by outages. If something important happens, we'll communicate.
9. Termination
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, attempt fraud, or seriously abuse the Service. We'll usually email you first.
If we terminate you for violation, you don't get a refund. If we terminate you for any other reason, we'll refund any unused portion of your current billing period.
10. Limits on our liability
AnimalCRM is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or lost data.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee, USA. Any dispute will be handled in a Tennessee state or federal court.
